Minnow and Corbin are making a brief return, better than ever!! 8D
Corbin slogged up the ancient tower, the wind whistling around him. The bricks were dry and cracked, just like everything that had spent too long in the desert. He was examining them as he climbed, until he heard the squeaking of the metal grate.
The upper portion of the tower was a cage housing dozens of kites. They were always there, and they always would be. He looked to his side. A kite was snagged on a break in the grating, trying unsuccessfully to wriggle free. Corbin had named this one Wendy, and for the thousandth time, went to free it.
He chirped, and the cloth cre

Journey Story Preview: A Rising Darkness
“Draco, where’d you go?” Raven called. She often lost him in the Sunken City, for his cloak blended in with the blue light of the place. Especially at night when everything was darker, like it was now. She usually found him by watching for a glint of gold from his cloak or mask. She turned around in time to see him zoom past, spinning in a showcasing fashion. Faison was flying after him, chirping with joy. Raven giggled. Ever since they started travelling together the two were always messing around. Faison had also grown, now almost twice as big as when they first met.
Draco looped a

Project Redo- Our Journey Ch1
The sun was beating down harshly on the blistering sand. I just remember waking up one day all alone out there in the desert. I looked at myself- I bore a blue robe with swirl designs tracing the outside of it. Then my eyes went to a distant sand dune, and at the top were little stone markers coming out of the sand.
I stood up. Something I had never done before. It was strange to be walking, but at the same time, it felt like I was free of something holding me back. Feeling myself just glide through the sand when I went up and over dunes; it was such a great feeling. With a desert wind blowing at my back, I climbed the tallest sand dune and

Minnow and Corbin: Epilogue
A/N: Here it is. The epilogue. I finally did it. AGH this was so much work. But it was fun, and my writing probably improved a lot. And I'm really proud of it! 26 pages and 6500 words! WOOHOO!
The desert. Hot, desolate. Grave markers peeking out of the sand. A star shot over the dunes, bright and burning. It came to rest behind a hill. And behind that hill, up came a Traveler. It was Minnow, a red cloak. She sat in the sand and looked around. The sand shimmered like the surface of a still pond. The sun glared down at her from it’s lofty perch in the sky. She stood, swishing her cloak. She had finally gotten all the patterns.

Minnow and Corbin: Chapter 6
A/N: Hey everyone! A great big apology for posting this so late (explanation in description)! This is technically the last chapter of the story, but there will be a short, but VERY IMPORTANT epilogue. I'll post it a day or two. Don't miss it!
She waited and waited, for help, or for the end. Footsteps sounded nearby, getting steadily closer until they were right next to her. A sudden warmth filled her as she felt the brush of a cloak.
A calm voice whispered into her ear. Minnow, my friend, wake up. We haven’t reached the Mountain yet.
It was Corbin. He had come back.
Slowly, he helped Minnow to her feet. I’m sorry. I shouldn̵

Minnow and Corbin: Chapter 5
A/N: This chapter is a bit shorter, but that's so that I can have a dramatic cliffhanger! Heheh!
Minnow awoke to Corbin standing over her. Rise and shine! We’ve still got a Mountain to climb!
How… she yawned, how long was I out?
Only an hour or two.
Did the hero win?
He sure did. Everyone lived happily ever after.
Minnow smiled, stood up, and followed Corbin back into the cold. After crossing an icy cloth bridge, they entered a huge clearing. The snow was thicker here, and flying faster, too. They trudged towards cover from the Guardians, and were almost there when Corbin turned suddenly.
Over here, Minnow! Hurry!
She stopped a

Minnow and Corbin: Chapter 4
The gate opened and they walked into the next area. A tower stood in front of them, reaching up like a giant tree. Corvin led Minnow to the first glyph and activated it. The same picture they had seen earlier with the Ancestor. A sparkly substance started to fill the room. It was like water, except it restored their scarf power, allowing them to fly without stopping. The tower shone with a brilliant glow. They went from glyph to glyph, making the fog rise, and watching their story unfold. They made their way to the top, using cloth bridges and jellyfish. Corvin motioned for her to follow, and entered a small, circular room, with long strips

Minnow and Corbin: Chapter 3
It was cold and dark, and an oppressive silence hung in the air. Like always. Corbin showed her another glyph, a scene from the vision.
They sat at the Ancestor stone. This part always made her sad. The Cloth was disappearing, the light in the towers flickering and going out. Two Ancestors were fighting over a piece of fabric. They pulled it apart, but what little they had dissolved. The people were starting to turn against each other. It showed a small battle. Organized groups on the ground, and two war machines in the sky. The scene moved, and the battle had turned into all-out war. Buildings crumbling, people dying, chaos everywhere.
